Course Description
The CPC50320 Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) course will provide you with the skills and experience to manage complex construction planning, operational, evaluation, and problem-solving challenges. It covers building construction theory and practices related to residential and commercial site management applications.
As part of this qualification you will learn how to manage budgets, resources (physical and material), Work Health and Safety and team management. Our elective units will provide you with experience in learning to apply building codes, project costings, contract management and structural principles to medium rise construction projects.
Training is delivered by accredited trainer/assessors with current industry experience. Upon successful completion of this course, students may be eligible for exemptions for a Tertiary level qualification or higher degree.
Duration: 2 years (8 terms) part time or 1 year (4 terms) full time, proven related academic background or industry experience.
Entry Requirements:
- Over the age of 18 years
- Access to a computer/device capable of reading documents + internet
- Evidence of completion of pre-requisite units if not provided by Everthought (refer to Course Unit table below)
- Completion of LLN Assessment (not necessarily a barrier to entry)
- To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have access to a live building and construction workplace to meet the requirements detailed in the Assessment Requirements of core unit CPCCBC4008 Supervise communication and administration processes for building and construction projects.
