A recent report published by ServiceSeeking has revealed the country’s highest earning tradie from last year, and the numbers he is raking in puts even doctors to shame.
A report by TripleM Radio goes into detail on the figures (source: https://www.triplem.com.au/stuff/pub-talk/australias-richest-tradie-has-been-revealed-one-bloke-has-absolutely-raked-it-in?station=brisbane).
Hot off the end of the 2018 financial year, ServiceSeeking has published its annual Tradie Rich List with one Melbourne builder taking home more than most doctors, lawyers and engineers do.
The unnamed tradie, who specialises in property maintenance, renovations, demolitions and fit-outs, pocketed more than $372,000 over the last 12 months.
According to the ATO, the median wage for anaesthetists sits at about $320,000 with surgeons the next top earners with $275,000.
Combined, the top 10 tradies on ServiceSeeking took home $1,200,000 over the last financial year.
The research also revealed that handymen have seen the biggest jump in charge out rates; their average hourly cost has jumped $6 to $56.73, an 11.97 per cent increase.
It’s probably worth noting that these numbers are estimates based on how many jobs each business won through the site, multiplied by the quoted price.
