How long does it take to complete a Diploma in Building and Construction?
As Everthought offers a variety of learning pathways, the overall course duration will vary depending on your chosen application. The Diploma of Building and Construction course that we offer can take up to eight weeks or two years to complete.
Here is a general guide to determining how long it takes to complete your certificate based on your application type:
On-campus (Domestic)
For our domestic students, it takes one year (four terms) of full-time learning to accomplish the Diploma of Building and Construction course. As long as you’re above the age of 18 and have completed the required prerequisite units (please reach out to us for more information), you can enrol after completing an LLN.
On-campus (International)
International students will spend two years of full-time learning before they are awarded the diploma. Application requirements are the completion of Australian Year 12 or its equivalent, as well as an additional English proficiency test to ensure optimal course delivery.
Skill and experience recognition program
With Everthought’s skill and experience recognition program, you can get your diploma within two to eight weeks depending on your existing work history. You simply need to have a minimum of three to four years of demonstrated experience and referrals from qualified builders.
Do note that you may need to undergo some additional gap training, but our qualified assessors will do their best to guide you through the five-step application process for this specific program.
Online learning
Everthought Now offers an online learning option that can be completed in 24 months. There are no pre-entry requirements to the course, but you will need to take a quiz. The results of the quiz will help us identify if you need to take any additional gap training.
