The CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling forms part of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework Training Package, and is for people working in the Wall and Floor tiling trade.
Students learn to lay ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass and other types of tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes.
Major areas of study include interpretation of plans, measurements and calculations, use of tiling tools and equipment, surface preparation and repairs.
This course is delivered in our purpose designed facilities where emphasis is placed on providing hands-on, practical training in conjunction with industry-based theory components. Training is provided by accredited, Trade Trainer/Assessors with current industry experience.

In signing the training contract, both parties are bound by certain obligations expressed in the contract. The training contract sets out the terms of the apprenticeship or traineeship, which are agreed to by both the employer and the apprentice or trainee.

In Queensland, you will need a QBCC licence to perform wall and floor tiling work with a value of more than $3,300. This licence will allow you to cut and fix tiles, including ceramic, glass, marble, slate, stone and terracotta tiles, to fireplaces, floors, hearths, spas, swimming pools and walls.
The average annual salary for Tiler jobs in Australia ranges from $70,000 to $80,000. However a Tiler can potentially earn more as a Licensed Contractor.
In QLD to get a wall and floor tiling licence you need to meet the QBCC requirements (technical, managerial and financial qualifications).
To become a qualified wall and floor tiler, you will need to get a CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling.
Depending on the delivery mode you choose or are eligible for. Apprenticeship: 4 years, international students on campus: 2 years, RPL from 2 to 8 weeks (minimum 3 years of experience).
In Australia to become a wall and floor tiler you will need to get a qualification, at least a CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling.
