The Certificate III in Concreting (CPC30320) is a trade-level qualification that teaches you everything you need to become a qualified concreter in Australia. You’ll learn to place, finish and cure concrete, erect and dismantle formwork, place and fix reinforcement materials, carry out setting out and levelling, handle concreting materials and equipment, and apply decorative finishes to concrete surfaces.
This course covers residential and commercial concreting operations. You’ll gain hands-on skills while learning to read plans and specifications, determine concrete supply requirements, and follow work health and safety practices to meet industry standards.

Please note: Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A, CPCCWHS1001A or CPCWHS1001 (White Card) covers this requirement but is not included within this course.

This qualification is available through traineeship (which requires employment with a registered employer) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for those already working in concreting. We don’t currently offer a full-time on-campus option for this course.
Traineeships combine paid work with an employer and formal training over 1-2 years, ideal for those starting their concreting career. RPL is for experienced concreters who want to get qualified faster by having their existing skills and work experience formally assessed and recognised.
