Bricklaying Job-Ready Program
Free hands-on bricklaying training in Perth. Over 3 weeks at our Cannington campus, you’ll build real skills, earn nationally recognised units of competency, and open the door to a bricklaying apprenticeship.
About this course
This program gives you a solid foundation in bricklaying through practical, on-campus training supported by HIA and Brick & Block Careers. You’ll work with real tools and materials, guided by experienced trainers, and come away with a Statement of Attainment covering 6 units of competency, including your White Card.
Successful candidates will also be considered for 4 days of employer placement after the on-campus program, giving you a direct pathway into paid work in the construction industry.
This program is fully funded for eligible participants, there is no cost to you.

CPCCWHS2001 — Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
CPCCOM1012 — Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry
CPCCCM2005 — Use construction tools and equipment
CPCCCM2006 — Apply basic levelling procedures
CPCCVE1011 — Undertake a basic construction project
CPCCWHS1001 — Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)

This program is fully funded and free for eligible participants. To qualify you must be:
- No longer attending school
- Unemployed, or working less than 20 hours per week
