The Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling forms part of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework Training Package, and is for people working in the Wall & Floor tiling trade.
Students learn to lay ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass and other tys of tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes.
Major areas of study include interpretation of plans, measurements and calculations, use of tiling tools and equipment, surface preparation and repairs.
This course is delivered in Everthought Education’s purpose designed facilities where emphasis is placed on providing hands-on, practical training. Training is provided by accredited, trade trainer/assessors with current industry experience.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in 20 units of competency: 17 core units & 3 elective units.
Electives must be selected as follows:
· all three units from the electives listed in the qualification
· or two units from the electives listed, plus one unit selected from any current training package or accredited course as long as it contributes to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome, maintains the integrity of the AQF level of this qualification and does not duplicate the outcome of another unit used to achieve this qualification.

Everthought employs a specific strategy for the delivery of assessment services via Recognition of Prior Learning. RPL and RCC will be offered to all student for any unit where they can provide sufficient evidence of previous training and/or industry experience. RPL Candidates will be guided by an assessor through the self-assessment and workplace evidence gathering process. Candidates will engage with the assessor in a competency conversation to determine underpinning knowledge and workplace referees will provide reference in regard to the candidate’s on-the-job performance.

Western Australia Apprentices and Trainees – DTWD
Students in Western Australia wishing to enrol into an apprenticeship or traineeship pathway may be eligible for funding under the Western Australia Department of Training and Workforce Development’s Apprenticeship Office. The Office registers and administers training contracts and regulates the apprenticeship system in Western Australia, in accordance with Part 7 of the Vocational Education and Training Act 1996 (the Act) and the associated Regulations.
A training contract is a legally binding agreement between the employer and the apprentice or trainee. In signing the training contract, both parties are bound by certain obligations expressed in the contract. The training contract sets out the terms of the apprenticeship or traineeship, which are agreed to by both the employer and the apprentice or trainee, such as:
